“Kenapa Iran, yang selama 4 tahun berdiri tegak dan mengalahkan terorisme ekonomi biadab AS, yang jelas-jelas bertentangan dengan JCPOA dan Resolusi Dewan Keamanan PBB, harus terlebih dahulu menunjukkan niat baiknya?”
“AS-lah yang telah melanggar JCPOA tanpa alasan. AS harus terlebih dahulu menebus kesalahannya, setelah itu Iran baru akan memberikan tanggapan”, cuit Zarif, seperti dilansir Fars.
Dua hari setelah Presiden AS, Joe Biden mengontak Macron via telepon dan bicara soal berbagai isu, termasuk Iran, Istana Kepresidenan Prancis langsung mengajukan syarat ini dan itu untuk kembalinya Washington ke JCPOA.
Kantor berita AFP melaporkan, Istana Elysee menyatakan bahwa sebelum kembalinya AS ke kesepakatan nuklir, Teheran harus berkomitmen terlebih dahulu terkait JCPOA.
Sebelum Istana Elysee mengajukan tuntutan tersebut, dalam beberapa hari terakhir sejumlah pejabat Prancis kerap bersuara miring soal program nuklir Iran.
Menlu Prancis, Jean-Yves Le Drian beberapa waktu lalu meminta agar Iran “segera” memulihkan komitmennya di JCPOA, padahal negaranya sendiri gagal memenuhi janji-janjinya di JCPOA usai keluarnya AS.
Pernyataan-pernyataan miring para pejabat Barat soal JCPOA muncul usai Biden di awal masa kepresidenannya melakukan pembicaraan dengan para petinggi Eropa, seperti Prancis dan Jerman, tentang berbagai masalah, termasuk isu Iran.
Teheran sendiri menegaskan, dengan mempertimbangkan keluarnya AS secara sepihak dari JCPOA dan tidak adanya komitmen negara-negara Eropa anggota JCPOA, maka berdasarkan Pasal 36 JCPOA Iran mulai mengurangi komitmennya dalam kesepakatan ini.
Jika pihak-pihak lain melaksanakan komitmen-komitmen mereka, Iran pun akan kembali ke kesepakatan awal.
