POROS PERLAWANAN – Wakil Ketua Dewan Federal Rusia (Senat), Konstantin Kosachev memperingatkan kemungkinan penarikan Dubes Rusia dari Washington.
Dikutip Fars dari TASS, Kasachev di laman Facebook-nya mengecam statemen Presiden AS, Joe Biden yang menghina Presiden Vladimir Putin. Menurutnya, pernyataan ini akan berdampak negatif pada hubungan bilateral Rusia-AS.
“Dalam situasi apa pun, statemen semacam ini tidak bisa dibiarkan dan akan meningkatkan tensi antara negara-negara kita. Pemanggilan pulang Dubes Rusia dari AS adalah satu-satunya respons rasional, cepat, dan sesuai dengan keadaan saat ini,” tandas Kosachev.
Senator Rusia ini menegaskan, penarikan Dubes Rusia dari Washington tidak akan menjadi satu-satunya tindakan balasan terhadap AS.
Ia menambahkan, ”Jika AS tak bisa memberikan penjelasan dan meminta maaf (atas hinaan Biden kepada Putin), saya ragu masalah akan selesai sampai di sini saja.”
Dalam wawancara panjang dengan stasiun televisi ABC News pada Selasa 16 Maret lalu, Biden menyebut Putin sebagai “pembunuh”. Ia pun mengklaim bahwa Putin akan menerima ganjaran “lantaran mengintervensi Pilpres AS”.
Saat presenter ABC News berkata, ”Anda mengenal Vladimir Putin. Apakah menurut Anda dia seorang pembunuh?” Biden menjawab, ”Saya rasa demikian.”
Ketua Parlemen Rusia (Duma), Vyacheslav Volodin juga bereaksi keras terhadap statemen Biden ini. Melalui kanal Telegramnya, Volodin menulis, ”Dengan statemen ini, Biden telah menghina warga negara saya. Kekacauan ini berpangkal pada ketidakmampuan. Putin adalah Presiden kami. Serangan terhadapnya sama seperti serangan kepada negara kami”.
Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, hubungan Rusia-AS kian mengeruh lantaran sejumlah kasus, termasuk perkembangan di Ukraina dan tudingan Washington tentang intervensi Moskow dalam Pilpres AS.
