POROS PERLAWANAN – Anggota Dewan Politik Ansharullah, Muhammad Ali Houthi merespons pernyataan Menlu AS, Antony Blinken. Menurutnya, pernyataan ini menunjukkan kekeliruan putusan Pemerintah terdahulu AS tentang Ansharullah.
“Statemen Blinken adalah penegasan bahwa pencantuman (Ansharullah dalam daftar hitam) oleh Pemerintah terdahulu merupakan langkah keliru. Ini juga membuktikan bahwa musuh dan rival pun bersaksi atas keabsahan pembelaan Ansharullah terhadap Tanah Air dan kedaulatan negara”, cuit Houthi, seperti dilansir Fars.
Ia menyatakan, Ansharullah memandang positif keputusan terbaru AS ini, sebab langkah terdahulu sangat merugikan rakyat Yaman. Houthi menambahkan, Sanaa menantikan putusan-putusan baru untuk menghentikan tindak jahat AS di Yaman.
Kemenlu AS pada Jumat malam 12 Februari secara resmi mengumumkan, keputusan Pemerintah Joe Biden untuk membatalkan putusan Pemerintah Trump terkait Ansharullah akan dilaksanakan pada Selasa pekan depan.
Blinken menyatakan, nama Ansharullah akan dihapus dari daftar organisasi-organisasi “teroris asing”. Ia kembali mengklaim, langkah ini dilakukan AS “dalam rangka memberi bantuan kemanusiaan kepada Yaman”.
Sebelum ini, Pemerintahan Trump di hari-hari akhir keberadaannya di Gedung Putih memasukkan sejumlah petinggi Ansharullah dalam Daftar Teroris. Hal ini dilakukan demi mengabulkan keinginan Saudi dan UEA, dua negara yang melakukan agresi ke Yaman.
Jubir Kemenlu AS, Ned Price pada Kamis lalu mengumumkan, Biden telah memberitahu Kongres AS soal niatnya untuk menghapus Ansharullah dari daftar hitam.
Kendati demikian, Price mengklaim bahwa langkah ini bertujuan mengurangi dampak kemanusiaan dari sanksi terorisme atas Ansharullah.
Ia mengaku, AS tidak ingin menjadi negara yang menyebabkan kian parahnya krisis kemanusiaan di Yaman.
Price mengatakan, evaluasi dari para legislator Republik dan Demokrat, PBB, dan lembaga bantuan kemanusiaan menunjukkan bahwa pemberlakuan sanksi terorisme akan memperburuk kondisi kemanusiaan di Yaman.
