POROS PERLAWANAN – Dilansir Press TV, Angkatan Laut Iran telah meluncurkan latihan militer skala besar di Laut Oman dalam rangka meningkatkan kesiapan dan kecakapan militer negara itu dalam menghadapi ancaman di perairan selatan yang strategis.
Latihan selama dua hari, dengan nama sandi Eqtedar-e Daryayi (Kekuatan Angkatan Laut) 99, dimulai dengan upacara formal di daerah luas yang mencakup jalur pantai Makran di Laut Oman dan utara Samudra Hindia pada hari Rabu.
Acara tersebut dihadiri oleh Ketua Kepala Staf Angkatan Bersenjata Iran, Mayjen Mohammad Baqeri dan Panglima Militer Iran, Mayjen Abdolrahim Mousavi, serta komandan senior lainnya.
Angkatan Laut Iran juga menerima pengiriman kapal pengangkut helikopter Makran, sebuah kapal logistik yang dirancang untuk mendukung misi Angkatan Laut di perairan yang lebih jauh, seperti Samudra Hindia bagian utara, Selat Bab al-Mandab, dan Laut Merah.
Kapal semacam itu telah dirancang untuk berfungsi sebagai “pelabuhan bergerak”, dan, oleh karenanya dianggap sebagai elemen infrastruktur utama dari Angkatan Laut mana pun.
Makran dikabarkan mampu membawa 82.000 ton logistik dan memasoknya ke unit Angkatan Laut di berbagai lokasi. Kapal tersebut juga mampu melakukan pelayaran selama 1.000 hari tanpa kembali ke pelabuhan.
Sebuah kapal peluncur rudal yang disebut Zereh (Baju Besi) juga bergabung dengan armada selatan Angkatan Laut Iran.
Selama latihan militer, unit tempur permukaan Iran, pasukan Angkatan Laut bawah permukaan, serta unit udara akan berlatih pertempuran dengan tiruan pasukan musuh dan melakukan taktik perang serta operasi bersama terhadap kemungkinan skenario militer.
Rudal jelajah permukaan-ke-permukaan dan torpedo akan ditembakkan dari kapal selam yang dikembangkan di dalam negeri selama latihan tersebut, sementara unit operasional pesawat, pesisir dan laut akan mempraktikkan tugas-tugas khusus. Operasi udara tak berawak dan taktik peperangan elektronik juga akan dilakukan.
Latihan Angkatan Laut dilakukan di tengah meningkatnya ancaman militer Amerika terhadap Iran di hari-hari terakhir jabatan Presiden AS, Donald Trump.
Akhir bulan lalu, dua pesawat pembom B-52 Amerika terbang di atas Timur Tengah. Mereka dikerahkan dari Pangkalan Angkatan Udara Minot di North Dakota dan dikawal oleh F-16 AS, menurut Komando Pusat AS.
